The Scott Joplin Online Archive is a project organized by Robert Willey (Ball State University) and George Litterst (TimeWarp Technologies).

We are focusing on recording and playing back performances with Yamaha Disklaviers.

Thanks to Richard Riley for sharing his expertise, contacts, and recordings of David Thomas Roberts, Gale Foehner, John Gill, Max Morath, Morten Gunnar Larsen, Richard Zimmerman, and Scott Kirby. These and many other recordings are available through his company, Pianomania—your source for the best ragtime, jazz, and blues piano music.

Thanks to Peter Gannon for allowing us to include MIDI recordings made by John Arpin for PG Music's The Ragtime Pianist. PG Music is a leading developer of computer software for composing, arranging, performing, recording, and editing music, best known for Band-in-a-Box and Real Tracks. Thanks also to Mary Jane Esplen for allowing us to feature John in the Archive.

Thanks to MakeMusic for their donation of the Abbey Road CFX Concert Grand Virtual Instrument plugin. It is the perfect synthesizer to create audio recordings from the MIDI files in the Piano Works Archive, due to its excellent quality sound that is based on the Yamaha CFX grand piano.
